IES James Watt Dinner

The James Watt Dinner celebrates the engineering achievements of James Watt and is one of the oldest engineering dinners. In addition, it celebrates Engineers who are inducted into the Scottish Engineering Hall of Fame at the dinner.

If you haven’t been before please consider coming along, small parties, large parties, individuals, all are welcome!

This year the dinner will be held in the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow on Friday 2nd Oct 2026 at 7pm

Discounted room rates at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Glasgow

There is an allocation of discounted rooms at the Radisson Blu Hotel for our event. 

The code for this year is JWD26 and the rate is £175.00 BB single occupancy and £185.00 BB double occupancy, guests can book again directly via the website, radissonblu.co.uk

To book via the website,  select the date of stay, then click on ‘Special Rates’ on the right-hand side and select ‘Promotional Code’ – type JWD26 and press ‘Search’. This will show them the room type and the price for the night. 

Then follow the steps to complete their booking. Card details will be required in the process of booking as a guarantee to this. Payment will be taken on arrival. The allocation will close 4 weeks prior the event. After this date, we will be able to offer the best available rate at the time of booking.

These rates are flexible rates, which means guests can cancel free of charge up to 72 hours prior the arrival date
