ICE - Dearne Reach integrated constructed wetland

Dearne Reach is currently the largest integrated constructed wetland in the UK for stormwater treatment, an excellent example of the power of collaboration between civil engineering and nature-based solutions.

This presentation will provide an overview of this innovative scheme, highlight the optimisations made throughout design and the positive outcomes achieved during construction.

Treated wetlands are still a relatively novel application across the industry, but sharing the lessons learned and successful results at Dearne Reach will contribute to driving continuous advancements in sustainable low carbon stormwater management.
