Following on from previous astonishingly popular Markets, this year in collaboration with ‘Ayrshire Food An’ A’ That’ and you can join us for another huge FREE to enter event. With over 60 stalls lined up for you, there will be so much to browse, taste and purchase, from art, cakes, soaps, hand sewn fashion, glass and room scents.
On Saturday 15th August the Fourth Port Parade is happening along the harbourside and the Museum will be hosting the Scottish Maritime Museum Model Boat Show where you can see many miniture masterpieces built by members of local clubs. On Sunday 16th August there will an amazing dispaly of classic vehicles around the Linthouse Courtyard.
Set on Irvine’s Harbourside, inside the tremendously impressive Linthouse Building and in the courtyard of the Scottish Maritime Museum in Irvine, which will be FREE to enter, this Market will be showcasing some of the finest crafters and food producers for you to try and buy.
Discover beautifully one of a kind handcrafted treasures, artisan creations, delicious treats, and perfect seasonal gifts all made by talented unique local creatives. Share your love for all things handmade and bring your family and friends, there is something for all ages!

Applications for stalls open late May and you can apply if your items are handmade, handcrafted or produced by you or your small team and then finished to a good quality. It is not acceptable to have mass-produced or imported goods unless you have written permission by the Market Manager and items cannot breach copyright laws.
Key Unique Aspects:Historic Location: Stalls are located inside the massive, glass-roofed Linthouse building and surrounding courtyard, providing a unique, atmospheric backdrop rather than a typical market hall.Atmosphere & Exhibits: The market is held alongside, or in conjunction with, the museum’s maritime collection, including boats, model ships, and sometimes vintage car displays.High-Traffic Events: Markets, such as the Winter Market or Spring Creatives Market, are heavily attended, with some attracting over 4,000 visitors.Local Focus: The events, often in collaboration with “Ayrshire Food An’ A’ That,” highlight local artisans, crafts, and food producers from across Ayrshire and beyond.Diverse Activities: When funds are available the environment includes, in addition to shopping, live music, children’s activities, plus workshops and demonstrations such as glass working, Classic Car and Model Boat Showcases.Promotion: The markets are promoted using traditional leaflets, posters, mentions in newsletters, on the Scottish Maritime Museum website and social media, plus occasionally on national radio.To apply for a stall please in the first instance email events@scotmaritime.org.uk with your name, the name of your stall or organisation, your email address and details of what you will be selling.
