The government has announced that businesses in Great Britain can continue to use the CE Mark for a further 2 years.

The UK Conformity Assessed (UKCA) marking has been introduced as part of the UK’s regulatory framework. It shows that products comply with UK product safety regulations.

The government announcement states that this further extension has been given due to the difficult economic conditions created by post-pandemic shifts in demand and supply and the war in Ukraine and associated high energy prices and is motivated by a desire to avoid burdening businesses with the requirement to meet the original (31 December 2022) deadline.
