AFBE-UK Scotland is delighted to announce Harbour Energy as its latest corporate partner.
Harbour Energy is the largest UK-listed independent oil and gas company. It already has a strong team behind its diversity strategy and is planning to participate in AFBE-UK Scotland’s STEM events, including Transition and Real Projects.
Dr Ollie Folayan, chair of Aberdeen-based AFBE-UK Scotland, said: “We are thrilled to have Harbour Energy join us as they continue to develop their diversity and inclusion strategy. The organisation was a sponsor of our AFBELive conference where Mavis Anagboso contributed to an excellent discussion on leadership, negotiation and time management. We thoroughly look forward to continuing to work with them.”
Mavis Anagboso, global head of diversity, equity and inclusion at Harbour Energy, said: “Harbour Energy is pleased to partner with AFBE-UK as part of a strategic focus on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. We recognise the importance of having a workforce that reflects the diversity of our society, and look forward to inspiring the next generation of the energy industry through a range of AFBE-UK events and projects."
The addition of Harbour Energy brings the total number of corporate members in the diversity and inclusion organisation to 56.
Harbour Energy join others such as the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, Worley, University of Aberdeen and the Royal Air Force (RAF) in helping to promote science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) careers to all young people – and in particular those from underrepresented groups.
