28th August 2024 9:30 am

Ambitious manufacturing businesses across Glasgow City Region are benefiting from £14 million ‘levelling up’ funding for three research and development (R&D) projects to upskill the workforce, boost sustainability and productivity and accelerate local economic growth.

This, free to attend, interactive, seminar, will give you an insight into each of these Innovation Accelerator projects tackling the key topics of sustainable manufacturing, digital skills development, and making the most of Scotland’s growing space sector.

As well as listening to presentations from each of the project leads and industry partners, you will have the opportunity to speak with the project teams to find out how your business could benefit from the outputs, see the relevant areas of the 6000m2 NMIS Netherton workshop – home to the NMIS Digital Factory, Lightweight Manufacturing Centre and Manufacturing Skills Academy and have a light lunch and network with peers from the manufacturing community across the Glasgow City Region.

Innovation Accelerator Programme

These projects are part-funded by the Glasgow City Region Innovation Accelerator programme.

Led by Innovate UK on behalf of UK Research and Innovation, the pilot Innovation Accelerator programme is investing £100m in 26 transformative R&D projects to accelerate the growth of three high-potential innovation clusters – Glasgow City Region, Greater Manchester and West Midlands.
