NMIS - Targeting failures with root cause analysis
5th February 2024 11:00 am
Understanding the root cause of failures and managing the consequences, are fundamental steps in developing an effective maintenance strategy.
As a taster session ahead of our in-person, two-day course in March 2024, this webinar aims to provide an understanding of how implementing an effective root cause and failure analysis (RCFA) process, can help your organisation maximise equipment availability and uptime, by reducing the number of costly and repetitive failures.
Delivered by Matthew Laskaj of Project Engineering Management, supported by the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland’s (NMIS) Manufacturing Skills Academy team, the aim is to provide an understanding of the root cause analysis process, discuss tools and techniques available in the industry to make it easier for businesses to apply the process and ultimately, obtain important data that will help you when discussing the issues.
To explain the effectiveness of a RCFA process, Matthew will be joined by Jamie Burns of Ailsa Reliability who will cover real life case studies in this presentation, including one that uses a full HD camera to pinpoint the source of vibration and observe movement in rotating plant and structures.
This webinar is aimed at engineering, asset management, maintenance and reliability staff, working in, or supporting manufacturing and the industrial oil and gas and energy sectors.
If you’d like to learn how to improve maintenance practices, profitability, safety and environmental performance and ultimately achieve economic growth and job creation, register now.
