ICE - Steel reuse in construction: Cleveland Steel and Tubes Limited

During the event, we will address the importance and significance of steel reuse to the circular economy and the global climate emergency. We will explore the specific carbon savings but then also consider the different approaches to assessing the impacts of construction activity and steel use specifically. Using our experience, we will look at the different life stages of construction to illustrate how reuse can be incorporated and facilitated and how it can benefit. There are an increasing number of tools and guides in the marketplace and new standards are being written to facilitate, formalise and grow circular economy activity in construction and we will review those that impact steel reuse.
