14th October 2021 7:00 pm
The modern car is actually a computer system on wheels. It’s electronic system is made up of a grid of interconnected computers called Electronic Control Unit (ECU). These ECUs control the entire operations of the car. For the purpose of software over the air (SOTA), V2V communication, V2X communication, GPS navigation, diagnostics, and infotainment, some of these ECUs have to be connected to the outside world via the telematics gateway, WiFi, Bluetooth, RFID, OBD II, etc. Through these outside communication channels, hackers are able to hack into the modern car and take full control. The damage that follows could be cataclysmic, resulting to loss of human lives. This webinar will examine the evolution of the current automotive threat vectors.
